the staff were super friendly n helpful, made me feel right at home! the superior room was spacious n comfy. The building is just beautiful! enjoyed some delish food n made use of the parking which was handy. loved the unique quirks like the tilted floor in the corridor, adds charm!
but those steep steps to the first floor were a bit scary for me, n the breakfast menu was kinda limited. also, wish they had a fridge in the room!

We had a cozy stay with a charming courtyard that was perfect for relaxing. The comfy bed in the Superior King Room made our night enjoyable.
Felt like royalty, no reason to complain.

Despite its charm, the sleep quality suffers due to noise disturbances from the pub area, especially during late hours, which might bother light sleepers. The breakfast experience fell short. tables often weren’t ready, and several items were either missing or unappetizing when they did arrive, including greasy bacon and inadequate juice options. the bathrooms in some rooms could use attention, with small sinks and lacking proper heating, which might not meet everyone's expectations.

The Three Crowns provided an excellent base for my work trip. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff promptly assisted with my luggage. The room was well-appointed and comfortable, allowing for a restful night. Dinner in the restaurant featured an impressive selection of local wines and an extensive menu, although the absence of lamb or pork was noticeable. Breakfast was delightful, offering both buffet and cooked-to-order options, providing a great start to the day.
Lack of lamb or pork on the menu.

The Three Crowns exudes charm with its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. While the food impressed with its quality, the noise from the road detracted from sleep quality. Nonetheless, overall service was commendable, and the pub offers a delightful respite after exploring Dartmoor.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway!
I had a truly lovely experience at the hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating, and when I requested a room upgrade, they graciously did so at no extra charge. Plus, the food was top notch! My lamb dish was cooked to perfection and felt like a luxury I didn’t think I could afford at this place. It was absolutely delightful.
It wasn’t inexpensive, but honestly, it matched the quality all around.
